【教学目标与要求】
1．能听懂、会说单词：hall, meter/metre ,than, both How tall is it? Maybe 4 meters. That’s the tallest dinosaur in this hall. It’s taller than both of us together .并能在情景中运用。
2.能听懂Let’s try，并完成任务。
【教学重难点】

录音机及磁带、图片、学生自备一张调查表、课件
【教学过程】
Step1 : 预习温故（用时6分钟）
读一读，译一译;

T: How tall are you?

Step 2. 新课内容展示（用时18分钟）
1. Let’s try: Listen to the tape and circle

2. PPT出示姚明的图片，提问：
T: Who is he? What’s he like? What does he do?
【学情预设】
Ss: He is Yao Ming. He likes play basketball. He is a basketball player.
The basketball team needs some new players. Do you like playing basketball? Do you want to be a basketball player? Why?（学校篮球队要招聘队员，请友谊加入的同学毛遂自荐，说出你的理由。）

3.PPT出示恐龙dinosaur （各种恐龙图片）然后定到一只小恐龙上提问：How tall is the dinosaur? How tall is Zhang Peng?

4.教师领读对话并板书下列单词和重点句子：dinosaur ， That’s the tallest dinosaur in this hall.

5.listen Let’s talk 听录音。
6. Ask the students to read the dialogue 4times.

1.分角色表演对话。灵活运用所学单词句子造句。
2.提示：tallest 是tall的最高级。more 是many的比较级。
